10/21-10/23 SR Report

I had a nice trip. My arm held together and I managed a few fish. All Good!
Sunday I couldn't locate any Steel or Browns, but did get some Salmon to take a fly. I landed and released the two I landed.
Monday a friend and I had our day with Guttum Guide. Not enough water to float so we hoofed it. Steelheads were the game and Gottum had us on them all day long. It was an great day and we all caught fish (we insisted Gottum fish too). He has pics of my biggest. Will post when I get them.
Gottum caught a nice one too, and a Big Coho. Our friend Dave managed a small one. We had lots of takes and "long releases" lol.
Best part was we were all alone. No other people around. Sweet times.
If you're like me and don't know the river well hire a guide. Get on the fish.
Tuesday I headed back to the place Gottum had us too and the chrome was still there. It was pouring- love fishing the rain.
I had a legit 12 lb. fish take, but lost it. Fished to another nice one. Second cast I watched the mouth snap up the fly and it was fish on. Pretty soon I was holding a nice Chromer About 9 lb.. Perfect way to end the trip so I headed home.
Took a couple pics...
Here's Lake Ont..

Tried fishing it a little...

Some Wild Turkeys I saw while on the prowl...

And finally my Rainy Day Skam...

Thanks for the pic. Gottum! That fish was a beauty. Sorry I had to disturb you while you were having a movement to grab the net. lol
The fish was heavy. It doesn't translate well in the pic, but it was a beauty.
Great day. I heard you guys hammered them the next day in another spot.
Thanks again- for the trip and for giving me a heads up on what flies to bring.

Why does everyone claim the pic doesn't do the fish justice

Steel on a pin---so easy a caveman can do it.

well the tail is 6'' closer to the camera -
thus the fish is kinda curled up-
that fish was close to 30''s
+ it gave a great battle!-
    that's all that really matters!

    on another note
I don't think this is a skam- I beleive the clipped ventrical fish makes it a washington
at any rate it a VERY nice fish CHROMA!!! congrats!

You're right Gottum. I was excited and saw a left fin clipped and Skam. came to mind. Is the Washington Strain.
