Random notes on the "One Fly"

I'm posting this away from the "One Fly" post to just say that I am thrilled and amazed at the spirit and the grace shown by the members of this board. the little event that I started as a whim (the "One Fly") Has taken on a whole new meaning to me, and to many others on this site. I want to thank all those who help, donate, or just plain show up for a day of fun. Believe me it couldn't be accomplished without the donation of a lot of time and effort by some very devoted folks. So I'll say it early and often.

Something odd here? I still haven't heard from some of the famous names for the "One Fly". Where are: dano, Loopy, FFDave, DT, Anadoromus, Loomis, IwishIwasafisherman, Old Brown Trout, spoon. etc.

Please note the change to this years rules. All fish must be legal sized to be entered, with the exception of one small fish which can be used to break ties. Again, since there is no legal size on gobies, , ,?

Oddly that was the biggest (and almost the only) complaint I had from last year. And since with this event majority usually rules, I changed the rules. I hope nobody is too upset about this decision.

Gentlemen - and ladies, As of tonight if everybody who signed up makes an appearance and fishes; we have already exceeded the number of fisherpersons at last years event. Way to go folks!

Just wanted to add that 2 rods are done! Including the restoration of the rod donated by, , , I'll let him announce himself or just be the presenter at the event. 2 more to go! Just having a tough time finding small ferrules for a "project" rod. Anybody out there have two sets of 10/64ths ferrules (that match) or even smaller? 9's would work. 8's would be fantastic. Again I'd like to thank everyone who is putting in so much work on this event.
