Heading Up Soon!!!

Ok guys I'm really going this time. lol
Will be in Pulaski early Sunday Morning and leaving sometime on Tuesday..
This will be my first trip of the year. Hooking up with Gottum and a friend from another site on Monday.
I still haven't tied flies. Oh I have hunderds- just no egg patterns.
Since I'll be attempting to find some Brown Trouts I'll need to get busy.
Everything I read says fish the middle down. This is kinda an unexplored area for me. I've always fished around Altmar. I'm sure all will turn out well. I just hope my rusty arm can make a few nice casts. That alone makes my day.
If anyone else will be around and wants to hook to fish or slug a few brewskie's  up give me a yell.

You've hit it right. They need to get some fish to the hatchery for egg taking this week so the little water that has been added to the res will bump the flow for a few days. Hope it moves the fish all the way up not just into the lower river ball park area to get beat around some more.
PS give Slayer lots of flieshe is a self admitted bad tyer.
    Good luck

LOL- luck is with me so far. Anything can happen.
I've just discovered my tying isn't so great either. A year away from the bench has taken its toll. I won't be showing them to anyone- that I can promise!

    Salt-
Pretty good chance if there is one of that size it'll die of old age. Those old Browns are crafty. If only we could fish for them at night in the River...
Anyhow thanks, This time manana I'll probably be sleeping in the car after a long drive and a morning of fishing. I just hope I'll be dry. lol

not trying to put you down bro & i know the expense of a long trip but :
Please support the local economy and book a lodge
at $35.00 a night they will appreciate the business and you'll appreciate the nights rest.
as a wise Griz once told me sleeping in the car & eating a candy bar just don't cut it.......

Tuna- am spending 2 nights at a lodge. Was just talking about a short power nappy! Check in not till 1300. I'll need a nap before then.
I'm not into the suicide runs anymore. My "last" one I was whooped and took a short nap at a rest stop. When I woke up 1/2 hr. later I needed to go pee-pee. Did I mention it was pouring and cold? Anyhow groggy me went to the restroom and locked the keys in the car. Spare was in my wallet- in the car. No shops there, and not a coat hanger to be found. I finally got brave and asked a dude with a roll back if he could help. He had a slim Jim and popped it right open. Was a kind man and wouldn't accept a red cent for the service. Thanks to him it wasn't a major bad experiance- but no more suicide trips.
I hope to catch a few fish and get some good pics. I'll post when I get home.

I have to wait for my partners vacation time , I fished sunday in catskills for small bows but water still warm and doubt if they started yet.. it is peaking the color trees and it was a beautiful drive through the mts. too. I wish I could just blink myself up there lol.. I can't drive solo and enjoy SR alone.. I need my fishing partner for such a long trip. Gas loudging beering and dining.. just having a good friend to shoot the breeze while catching or not catching fish..just the way it is after fishing  pulaski over the decades. But we are going up before december for sure!

    HT,

Early pilgrims to the SR survived on car seats and Peanut M+Ms, can remember the Silver Star sold out of everything on a Sunday night. discovered and then mourned the loss of Frick and Frack's, and have also seen a tent at Selkirk in 5 inches of unplanned for weather, and ended up in the old elephant beds at the Wigwam.

    Then you get old!

    L13

P.S That weekend is looking good, but SSM for me.

Frick and Fracks was great, always had a great beef stew going. There was a waitress there we called "smiley".she always had that smile no matter what.I too miss that place, and the Log Cabin,Cedar Post,Memories,C&M,Tonys,Waffle House, etc. This year I missed the WATER,could n't stand the ripping/snagging,now that I can't get there there is some water, figures.

Book me a gig, and I've gotta show up!
