The other day a massive storm was heading toward erie. Then as if it hit a brick wall the rain dissipated. It seems that once it hits the mountainous region the storms all die. PA and part of ohio are very very dry, but check out some lakes in Georgia 35 feet below normal depth, lets hope we dont get that bad!

There will not be a sizable run until November.
Most of the radars/weather forecasts that cover the Erie area do not accurately portray the actual conditions/weather here. Chris

Apparently either someone is not living right in the Erie region or someone needs to pay the Preacher man. The rain is avoiding Erie. Please pay the preacher man.

It's coming , the rain that is. I dont know what weather rader some of these people are looking at but I live in Akron, Ohio and it is raining like crazy right now and my wife works in Independence and she said it is also raining good there. I looked at weather.com and that front sure looks like it is going to sweep across your whole state to me and any rain should help you guys out right now! How much rain who knows but I would think that any rain has got to be better than what you guys have been dealing with so far.

Our rivers should be fishin good by the time this is over. The rocky river guys think this storm might blow out the river and I say have at it! I know a few guys that have been knockin the steel in front of the Rocky for weeks now trolling ripsticks and those fish want to run bad! I personally have not even stepped foot in my Fishing/fly tying room yet, I am not done with the lake by a long shot. I am going to start getting my river gear together and tie some flies but I will not be hittin the rivers till the Lake is done. Let the Snow Flakes Fly and I will be right behind them.

 I still think someone needs to pay the preacher man in the Erie region. Looks like the rain is dissipating, fast. Maybe we should cry harder? I think we could produce more water the the current front moving through...

The last one missed us as I thought it would and the next front coming thru looks like it's going to do the same with a northward swirling pattern. I'm still hoping tho. Definately waiting till time is right - no sense charging till the rains have soaked and soaked some more. Dave
