The construction company was moving a bunch of equipment out of there on Saturday during the banquet.w_w.

If it has fins and gills, I'm there.

Shades Beach is about 4 miles from 4 mile creek.  Going East on Rt. 5,
you pass through Lawrence Park(4 mile Creek), go about 4 miles to the only blinking light between Lawrence Park and North East, turn left.
Shades Beach is to the left at end of road. There currently is no access
to the beach, except by foot.

"The Township will be having a “grand opening” on Friday, October 19th at 1pm for the new boat launch facility.  We will then have it open for a couple weeks.

Gizmos head east, the two round metal structures are 4 miles from the entrance to presquile, the Highest point you see from them is about 8 miles from presquile entrance, shades beach should be about 61/2 miles from the entrance from presquile.  Good luck.  John

thats a good fish, they are all good, some are gooder than others

The round structures are the cribs, keep going east and you will be able to see the new safe harbor. It is built up with rocks and has a new paved road coming down the hill to it

Anybody else concerned about all of the large rocks and shallow water out a few hundred yards from the launch?  I don't think they dredged a channel, nor made 'channel' markers to get out into the deeper water.  I have a feeling that alot of props and LU's are going to be damaged there!  It does drop off right off of the exit to the safe harbor, but out a couple hundred yards, it gets shallow again.  I've been out there pretty far and able to get out and stand up to my waist.  So just a warning to everybody putting out there the first few times, watch for big rocks and shallow water out there!!!

Oops, sorry. Guess the best landmarks would be IP site, 4 mile, 7 mile creek, if you can spot them. Just east of 7 mile creek.

Thanx for the warning kayak. I will be keeping an eye out when I first launch out of there. If I can make it out of Elk creek I think I can make it out of there, just will have to be careful the first couple of times. Hell, my friend took his prop out at East Ave this last weekend. You never know
