Going up this weekend

Depends what you mean by good, I guess, nbobich.  Spending a day fishing with your dad sounds pretty good - fish would be a bonus.  Loved that when I was a kid, and still love it now that I'm a bigger kid at 32.  I know my dad loves it, and now I love fishing with my kid too, who will be 4 next month.  He always tells me, "Dad, we're the best fishin' buddies.  Me and you and Pap Pap." 
 
Even if you don't catch much, you can be mighty thankful that you have a dad to take you fishin'.  Oh, and a little advice: When you turn 18, don't think that you're too cool to fish with your dad, like I did. 

Take a bunch of fathead minnows (emeralds suck) and fish them wieghtless without a float on 4lb flourocarbon.  Make sure you have polarized glasses, and watch your minnow.  Even try jigging it a little, what ever you gotta do to catch their intrest.  We went through a few dozen the other day like that, fish were tearin' em up.  Tough conditions for drifting anything, so minnows are your best bet.
