It's still on, and will truly be a test of skills.  Think about it J, not only do you have to try to keep the one flie on while catching chrome, you'll be combat fishing also.  That alone is a test of skills trying to keep your line out of somebody else's line, or their's off of your's.  Add the One Fly elements, and it'll be a great victory for the winner.  There are fish, they are hungry, but they are stacked up to where they have to stop.   A flash flood will spread them out, though not much rain is anticipated.  Buck up, and strap on the kevlar, 'cause it'll be hand-to-hand combat fishing at it's finest.  I can't wait to meet you, and all the others signed up.

D-Day: War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one.
Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
    Otter: Germans?
    Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
Bluto: And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough...
    [thinks hard]
Bluto: the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!
    [runs out, alone; then returns]
Bluto: What the f##k happened to the Delta I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble." Well just kiss my a## from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Wormer, he's a dead man! Marmalard, dead! Niedermeyer...
Otter: Dead! Bluto's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.
Bluto: We're just the guys to do it.
    D-Day: Let's do it.
    Bluto: LET'S DO IT!

The main idea of the one fly is to have a good time.  I think getting to together, having a hotdog or two and some soda, along with some swaping of stories and flies is really at the heart of the event.  Also as T.T. said, it will be a test of skill.  Combat fishing with one fly in low and clear will test your skill and resolve....

    jlh42581, and Gentlemen,
Yes the One Fly will go on as scheduled!   There are some fish in the tribs and there are plenty at the mouths  and there are some so far upstream you would not believe it!  (but I'm not telling where)   We have plenty of prizes and IF nobody wins the prizes outright, then we will have a drawing for them and award them to the people brave enough to attend.
It will take skill and some ingenuity to score but it can and will happen.  See you there.

Only if YOU pick the spot.  I think that we draw for teams though.  It depends on whether we can sway the rules comittee.w_w.

If it has fins and gills, I'm there.
