Yes the Lord's day is MOST DEFINITELY a day of rest! I have spent a few Sundays in the "Sanctuary" of the Lord;s creation fishing in past years. But when you are the pastor of the church, you kinda have to be there...
It's a shame, because the past few years haven't been on a Sunday. But, the majority rules I guess. Maybe next year.

My bad, you are correct, it was just last year for Saturday. I missed because my son was born!!!!!

Last year was the only Oil Creek outing we ever had on a Saturday. Every other year we've had it on a Sunday. IMO it appears that the May 16th date seems to be the most popular. Those that want a different (or same) date please speak up.

Greg, gonna try and make it this year. Over my bout of physical sickness, now just gotta deal with the mental thing LOL. Been off my medication since November and seem to be getting stronger as each day goes on (fingers crossed).As long as my daughter doesn't need picked up at UMASS I should be good to go. Will give a definitive answer in plenty of time. And as usual will bring burgers and buns. Maybe even some Shortys sauce for Skip if he makes it. Bummed I couldn't handle it last year. Be in touch. HCsteel , I am attending the outing again this year. My gear fits in the back seat and you could tag along in the trunk or vise versa. lol just sayin there is room. and I plan on staying till the end so if you dont mind a long day then you more than welcome to hitch a ride to and from. let me know. The Deetz Ps... Slickfish if your watching, and attending , you can tag along too ,you will fit in the trailer nicely.

Haha I have a 4/5 switch rod ill try out on oil with my fly reel. If It isnt working out ill throw my kingpin on the same switch rod and drift some flies. Best of both worlds. If i need to catch a trout before I go ill head downstream and toss some small egg sacks or beads, maybe a crawler if necessary. If there is dry fly fishing I can't pass that up though. No worries DT couldn't let a pinner catch more trout than you.

Possibility, I may be able to make it for this if there's room for one more. Probably be a 5 hour drive for me so I'd possibly need a room for the night after. Been checking around Oil City - anybody got any recomendations? Sounds like a great time!
