Results from Oregon

Well here is the run down and highlights
Clackamas River, Estacada OR
4 days
Samen
over 30 hooked fish, A LOT LESS landed
Scaling cliffs in waders
finding secret holes with a 100 holding fish
dirty fish, clean fish
8wt rod is WAY TOO LIGHT
45min battles, to only have a size 2 hook coming back at you 100mph, with no fish in hand

    $45 a night at the local motel


    I didn't get a guide... just hiked and found my fish
    I was by myself
    I had to work in Portland and decided to bring my rod
    all the pics of fish were with the camera on a rock and a timer

    Nice! That's the way to go! It's more fullfilling to go out there and find them yourself anyway. It looked like there wasn't anyone else on those streams in the pictures?

    Now that is what I am talking about, the whole experience. The surroundings were just beautiful, thank you for letting me live vicariously through your photos. Job well done.

    After you climbed and crawled around looking for those fish, how long did it take you to quit shakin' and start fishin' once you saw those nice pods of big shouldered bombers?
