Where to look on outboard to find year of older evinrude

Where to look on outboard to find year of older evinrude

Was wondering if anyone would know where the information plate is located on motor & what the mix ratio would be for the gas?    Thanks in advance

    Check out this site called MarineEngine.com Message board.  (infoatmarineengine.com).  I hope I posted this right.  They will probably tell you all of the information that you need.

    EYE-C-MAN  Look on the power trim (area where the motor is attached to the boat) there will be a serial number there. From there you can do a search for the exact information for that motor. However, my guess would be that the mix is 50:1.

    Ok i found the serial #5302A-E01275 . On the cowl it says "fisherman" Its an evinrude 5 1/2 hp with a 6 gallon gas tank . Thats what i think the mix should be. I'll do a little more searching .....Thanks for all the help   Paul
