2007 EPSFA TOURNAMENT

This tournament was very well organized with a real good turnout. Thankyou to all that worked so hard to put it together. Your MC is COOL! He really makes it more enjoyable to watch the weigh in. This years results seemed better than last year as far as fish being wieghed in. I hope to have the oppurtunity to fish many more of these tournaments.

Anyone else fish this tourny?

Has anyone fished the annual Hawg Fest in Ohio?

Any other Tournaments that anyone knows of?

Loved it as well.  Just wish we could ever put 2 good days together.  Last year, led the AM and 3rd overall after first day, only boxed 9 fish the second day including big fish of the tourney, slid to 5th in AM.  This year 1st day, full box, 5th in AM division, 7th overall, but well within striking distance.  2nd day, 50# box full of eyes, no steelies, sank to 7th in AM.  Where did our steel go?????

Hoping to fish Hawg Fest in Huron this September.

Looking forward to trying our hand at a couple Salmon tourneys on Ontario next spring.

I fished on Buckets 3 boat and we were very fortunate to locate the steelies and have our 5 by 7:30 Am it made the day alot smoother! Mike Hays was the Captain of our team and had a great place for the steelies. We ended up in 4th. place which was great thinking of how the first day went with our weigh in compared to some. No matter what place we would have finished in we had a blast we joked around, laughed, screamed (Happily), played pranks on each other through the day, We were hitting each other with the net when we were winding in fish, It was just a great two days of fishing that turned out with fairly good results. We never fished like we were in a tournament just like a normal day on the lake.

Very Well Organized and it was a great turnout.  Fished in Pro division and got our 17 fish each day.  All avg Steelies and cookie cutter walleyes.

    I would prefer a new prize structure 1st 2nd and 3rd only.

    Did anyone go to Triangle??

Whats the triangle?  The northwest corner?

We fished the state line (PA/OH) early in the am and got big eyes quickly then went in search mode for steelies.  Got most of them in the second trench, close to the corner.

I believe the corner of Ohio, Pa, and Canada. Some may consider New York, PA and Canada I'm really not sure. I usually find the fish and try not to fish with all the other boats especially if Im looking for size.

WE got size and there was only one other boat over at the PA/OH line with us.  A lot of NICE eyes.  But as usual, you HAVE to catch at least 5 steelies a day to be in contention.

Triangle and the fence post same thing, I liked prize pay outs myself its gives people a chance to regain some of their money they paid, encouraging more boats to enter with more places paid out imo. Hopeful they can crack 50 boats next year. I thought it was a fantastic tourney and will be doing it again next year for sure

I agree with more payouts I would think that would get more boats with top ten paying out. It would be better payouts with more boats so even tenth place would be worth while.

I pushed the tourney on several other sites I visit and apparently it did no good.  We'll see how the "push" works next year.  I like the payout situation.  Keeps your interest up and you really aren't "out of it" until its over.  There tend to be some pretty good swings in the leaderboard (unfortunately, its usually us).
