PITTSBURGH DOWNRIGGERS

Are there any members of the Pittsburg Downriggers on this site? If you don't know what the Pittsburgh Downriggers are their a fishing club dedicated to the Great Lakes fishing mainly Erie and Ontario. They hold a meeting once a month, they have 5 free outings a year 4 in Erie and 1 in Ontario. These are again at no charge. You can even bring family and freinds at no charge. I think the membership is around $25.00 and that includes your wife and kids. This club helps network fishermen with valuable information and accurate fishing technics. There is 1 meeting a month with guest speakers regularly. This club also offers discounts on Lake Towing Service, Discounts at Erie baitshops, and many other great benefits. If more information is needed email me.

Is there any other clubs like this out there?

My concern, is the implication that there is something wrong with "plugging" such an organization.

Yes that exactly what we do! Just sit around and eat hotdogs and talk about going fishing! I guess you dont support the Pittsburgh Downriggers CB. I think it's a really nice organization and the members are a **** good group of people as well as real good fishermen. I'm trying to get our membership up and get some new faces around.

Maybe if your lucky you might find some guys who fish...lol...

I know many of the pittsburgh downriggers...there is only a handful of guys down there who spend any of time on the water, a few capts involved, ect, and they are well aware of that...the rest is just gum flapping and chewing....lol

alot of the members dont even own boats...

I never said i was not in support i just know what goes on at these "Meetings" they have...

I was a member about 10 or 11 yrs ago. I was only able to make it to a couple meetings, but the meetings I did make it to seemed worthwhile. On one occaision, there was a tournament walleye fisherman there that spoke to the group. Folks there seemed nice. I have been considering joining again. Only thing is, I live in Plum Boro, so it's kind of a haul from my house.
