2007 Steelhead Schedule

The first run is scheduled to take place Sept. 3, at 5:45am. A secondary run is planned for Sept. 7, at 6:15. The success of these runs, as well as water levels, will determine the dates of subsequent reinforcement runs. Which are tentatively scheduled to begin three weekks after the initial run, and will begin the push to advance upstream.

spoon, could you be a little more specific please?

first big question: is that walnut or elk, or at a location still to be determined.

did the head Head say which baits will be preferred this year?

and is that secondary run A.M. or P.M?

come on, you gotta be a little more helpful here.  you can't expect us to work that hard for fish.

The run will occur on the west side streams, as well as at least one eastside stream.  The second run will be a pre-dawn attack as usual. Several reconisance missions will occur within the surrounding time frame. Details of these missions are being kept highly classified in an attempt to identify the enemy's most dedicated, and hardcore forces.

they will have to run , if we don't get some rain they won't be able to swim.

There will be days when fishing is better than ones optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

I need to know the specific section of stream so i don't have to walk so far and if you could tell me which riffle will hold the most big fish i would appreciate it. If you don't want to post it online you can just tell me at the psa fall banquet. Thanks

The  invasion was planned by Donald Rumsfish. Steelhead forces are almost certain to become trapped in a handfull of "greenholes" , caught between waring bait, fly, and centerpin factions. No doubt anglers from neighboring counties, and states, armed with IFP's ( Improvised Fly Patterns ) will add to the chaos.

    Spoon,
Given the long term weather outlook calling for heavy rain  from the 30th of August at 11:05 AM, till 2 September at 6:45 PM, don't you think that the creeks will be "blown out" till at least 6 Sept at 5:54 PM?  On the other hand, the 7th looks real good if the re-introduced Grizzly Bears don't get them all at the falls and the projects.  Good move PA Game Commission.  Re-introducing Grizzlies on the tribs to eat the excess salmon.  Who'd a thunk it?

But the grizzlies will be too full of out of towners to eat fish, and all the locals will have holes full of fish and no crowds......ITS A D*MN CONSPIRACY!!!!!!

Awwe yes the fun you "some of you" ppl will have sharing the same holes elbow to elbow or a rod apart at manchester hole, the road hole, trout run out at the mouth or better yet fishing in the nursery waters on crooked creek.. well  i would say 75% of you anyhow, and 95% will not fish crooked above the cable, or below the first bridge up from the mouth...lol... Hmm it will be very entertaining to read about you new found hobby that finds it way on there boards from Late september through may about posted lands, and tresspassing its the same old drum guys just keep beating it ..  i like the entertainment. Wade safe, and keep fishin.
