Is Lake Erie frozen over to Canada yet?

Anyone know if the Lake is frozen?
If so, is it frozen all the way across to Canada?
Thanks,

Its rare if the entire lake freezes over, the western basin might be but from pa no, last time entire lake froze was back in the 70s and some knuckleheads tried to walk over to canada, they made it about 2 miles and had to be rescued those ice dunes get very hard to climb over

    70's?

    Then this is a lie?:
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Erie Times reports that the surface of Lake Erie is now frozen completely.  Excerpt:
2/26 - Erie, PA - Quietly, on Tuesday or Wednesday, the last open bit of Lake Erie froze over. The lake is now completely covered by ice, according to the National Ice Center, an organization of scientists of the U.S. Navy and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. In the waters off Erie,PA more than half of the ice is 1 foot to 2 feet thick, said Ice Center analyst Christopher Szorc.
The freeze of 2008 came late, he said. “Two to three weeks later than normal,” Szorc said. “Usually, the whole of Lake Erie would be ice-covered during the second week of February,” Szorc said. A frozen lake does not necessarily mean lake-effect snow has ended, said Dan Leins, a National Weather Service meteorologist. “Lake-effect snow is still going to be a possibility even though the lake is frozen over, though it severely limits the intensity and the strength of it,” he said.

Well who are you gunna believe? And what if it is or is not frozen all the way across? Are you going for a walk? I would advise against it if you are.

I don't care who you are or how thick the ice is, that is a LONG walk over all those dunes.  Delusions of Grandure?

It pretty much is an annual event.  I'm not saying that it's 2 feet thick everywhere, but I fly out of Buffalo, Erie, Cleveland, and Detroit all the time and usually by the end of January it's frozen over completely.  Also, the local meteorologists mention this occasionally when describing the reduction of the lake effect snow machine.  Living in the snow belt, I try to pay attention to when the lake is frozen over.
