Anyone add Highland Park Dam on there yet??? I do have a bit of tight lips when it comes to spots. Not that I shore fish the rivers much anymore. But that is also part of the reason that I don't shore fish much any more. As soon as Lawnchair Larry and Sixpack Steve get ahold of a good report, they and their 6 rods spralled out in a 100' stretch of 120' of fishable water really makes things a bit tough. Usually setting up right were you are fishing, as that is now their spot... If I knew that people reading this were all considerate human beings, I'd post all of my river spots. But, I can't say that either considerate or human being describes a good portion of folks that I run into when out on the rivers. Pittsburgh Riverfishing 101 - with a bit of sarcasm (not much though) 1) Find creeks that enter river 2) Find dams built on river 3) Find structure built or felled into river 4) Find access to above spots 5) If you have all 4, and every time you go there, you are the only one there, do not post on internet... 6) Find shallow water, wear waders and get away from idiots fishing the rocks (seems like most good river fishing spots with rocks have idiots fishing from them). 7) Find CSOs, either avoid during high water or fish near if you want big carp and bad smell. 8) Buy boat and avoid idiots, although you must fish atleast 100 yards from idiots as they will cast heavy weights at you if they are not catching fish and you happen to drift "too close" (usually within eye site). 9) Fish lakes and streams to avoid river crowd. Disclaimer - Most people that I run into on the banks are good people. I suppose most on this site are as well. But, if you haven't run into the ignorant type that I have listed, then you obviously don't fish the rivers much.
