I bought a fly rod 2 years ago and got a few on the water lessons from a friend who has moved since then.  For christmas he sent me two boxes of flies he tied with an instruction sheet as to what they were and what to use them for.
Now keep in mind that I know nothing about flies, anyway I lost the sheet.  So now I have a couple of boxes of flies and no idea what they are or when to use them........So if you could play NAME THAT FLY.  I would appreciate it.
I guess I should add that I identify benthic macroinvertebrates quite a bit at work so I do know the families and so forth.  Any way here we go..... Oh by the way I really don't know much about, wet dry, etc...

Thanks for the info, it is greatly appreciated.  So what you are telling me is that he cleaned his fly boxes out before he left and sent them this way?

Oh well they look good to me cause I don't know any better.  He used to tie for a shop out east.  Tried a few in the stream on the property right at dark tonight, no luck.  Will try again tomorrow.
