I am very new to fishing again, I just bought a fishing boat and I am heading to lake wilhelm this weekend, someone told me that dock 4 is a good place to dock, anybody know what a good bait is to catch walley and a good place to start on the lake, thanks for any help

Theyve been catchin walleye on the south side of the lake. Launching at launch 2 and trolling torward the damn. Worm harnesses, jigs, perch colored lures, etc. are good walleye equip.. If your going later in the evening or early in the morning, take a light with you to load or unload your boat. The lights at all the docks have been burnt out for several years. Dont be disappointed or discouraged if you dont catch anything, wilhelm is a difficult lake if you are not experienced and familiar with it. The panfishing has been on the downside too. Incase you get bored, I would take some bass equipment and fish the bays and weedbeds. The bass fishing has seem to have been the only productive fishing, for me anyway. Good luck, and have fun.
