I WAS WONDERING IF THIS WAS WEIRD OR NOT YESTERDAY MORNING ME AND MY OLD MAN WENT SCOUTING WE WATCH THIRTEEN JAKES CHASE A LONGBEARD BACK ACROSS THE FENCE WHEN HE TRY TO SEE THE HENS.DOES THIS HAPPEN ALL THE TIME OR NOT I GUESS I WOULD BE SCARED IF THIRTEEN GUYS WANTED TO BEAT ME UP TO BUT ARE TURKEYS DIFFERENT?

Jakes will remain in bachelor groups throughout the spring and will attack any lone tom that they think they can get a hold of.  This is not uncommon, but still pretty cool to see.

I once killed a longbeard that had 3 jakes with him. While the longbeard was flopping around in my decoys the jakes put the boots to him.
Like griffon said, sometimes jakes will try to establish their dominance by grouping up on a longbeard.
