one of my goals was to catch striper's from the river or tribs on a fly rod.
this year i told myself fly or bust.
today i put the kayak in the trib to do a little scouting: (the bevrage was for effect ;)

after about 5 casts it happened:(thanks Dan for that shooting line)

by the way it was fighting i knew it was something good:

first striper of 2008 and on the FLY , SWEEET!!!!!
after awhile i paddle upstream to see what lies ahead.
Many of these:

and one heavy fish i lost that took me well into my backing. Quite sure it was a big striper.
after a bunch of smallies, back down to spot # 1 and another one of these:

Holy batman, 2 stripers landed on the first outing, on a fly rod !!!, Life is Great

Tuna thats Awsome !!! Was the bevrage before or after -lol ( I may need alot of them tihs year) Ya did what ya set out to do and met your goal - life don't get any better - congradulations !!!!
