Hey gang, Forgot I posted this, strolling through and yes, alot of those ice chunks is at least 6" thick. I eat lunch at this site nearly every day(hangin' on to my Kennametal job by the skin of my teeth) and got some great pics of the Latrobe Waterworks guys out on the ice chunks/causeway, checkin' it all out. What makes them interesting is that you can only see them from the waste up. There really is a ALOT of ice piled on that concrete. I'll have to get the pics off the phone and load em up. The fire ring crew....this is the beer drinkingest, dope smokingest spot on the Loyalhanna during the heyday of summer. And they like to toss the trash around, burn car tires, etc. There was a heroin related shooting here a few years back. It's beautiful country and a decent smallie stream(personal wish: give up on stocking trout and stock smallies in this creek) but yeah, the locals can be a bit unnerving. I'm a local but arson, drugs, shootings, it tends to steer a guy elsewhere.....
