Hi I am hoping to head up to Eaton this week but want to check to make sure the pool level is high enough to launch, and if the weed growth isnt horrible.

The drive for me will be around an hour to get there, i just do not want to waste the gas to get there and not be able to fish. Thanks

Last time I was there it was holding full pool. You could launch from either end..
As far as the weeds ..Haven't been there in a month so I don't know...

Eaton is at normal pool for this time of year. The weeds are up in the usual places for this time of year. The only luck I have had is from 5am to 8am b/c when the sun comes up the fish shut off.

Fished it from 6-8:30 saturday night. My financee and I did well, it has been 10 years since i had been there fishing. She caught a nice large mouth maybe 11ish, and i had 4 large mouths 3 were about 18 in length and one pike about 28 long very skinny, i missed 2 other pike.

I thought our trip would have been cut short due to the very windy and black clouds but 45 minutes in to that they cleared up and it was a very nice evening, on a not very crouded (maybe 3 other boats) lake.

another great place to fish for Pike is Spartansburg.  Electric only and no boat launch.  We launch a 14' where the fire trunks fill up with water.  Had a blast, partner boated 6 and only 1 for me.  Lost or missed about another dozen too.  If you can navagate the weeds and get to the far end of the lake.... you're in for a treat
