I just got back from fishing Will's creek in somerset county...it was an awesome year there!! I found a hole that was about 6 feet deep and had 5 or more huge trout over 20 inches swimming around!! If you want to find a bunch of holes with nice ones still there, just make the right hand turn before hillabilly haven and follow the road to the stream!! Now i'm back in the burgh and damn Pine Creek is all I got!! Did anyone do well at this creek? I heard there were a few nice ones by the church but thats about it...No stories about any of them sitting around Giant Eagle or anywhere else for that matter...Anyone got some updates?

about a 1/2 mile below the lake and also around sample road have been the best spots. guys are getting them mainly on maggots and salted minnies or live minnows. also green/chartruese spinners have been doing good

There are fish spread out all through the stream, it is pretty clear right now. Still some palominos cruisin too.

Yeah the stream does have a good bit swimming around !! I was fishing just about the beginning of the DH section...I tired by the wall then moved down and got about 5 trout...I was amazed by a few of them were too small to keep. I did not see anyone else catching anything. I also went down by the bridge right below the DH section and saw a 14'' Palomino...about 10 guys came by and looked at it then went fishing further down stream...I guess that little thing is nothing special...I hope to find something bigger to go for soon

I believe they are stocking Pine Creek today...They usually stock the stream twice in-season and the 1st one is usually pretty decent. I wouldn't waste my time going after the 2nd stocking since they put in pretty small ones. Anyone else heading out today for a 2nd round with em?

Never been to Pine Creek, but I'm looking for a new place to try. Hows the access? And is it usually crowded?

Pine creek is not crowded anymore...A lot of guys witnessed the stocking last week and were pretty ticked off...some guys said that they were putting in really nice ones in creeks near by and some of them were near record breakers but pine creek was stocked with minnows compared that!! I have been searching for those holes with nice ones still in but i have had no luck. Anyone else have any luck out there? I'm thinking about taking a day off and fishing behind some construction business places along rt.8.

Pine creek was just stocked the other day (5/7). I was out last Sunday fishing the sections behind construction buildings and got about 10 trout...nothing over 12 inches. Any success with the latest stocking? hopefully they put in some nice ones since last time it was a disappointed one!! might be awhile before any good fishing will be around again since this rain will load up the streams!

Yeah, they actually stocked on the 8th, I fished the 7th to no avail.

Pine Creek is a great stream. Hopefully, they added some larger trout this time around.

And if your heading there, stop by North Park Bait shop, they got a great 3 dozen minnows for 3 bucks, good service and good people too!
