Shad Lure-Scotia Hollow road, West Elizabeth. Plus theres another 'Ma & Pa bait shop up on Rt.51 near belle vernon (right down past the dairy quenn/min-mart store) and best thing, if you get bait there it isn't much further down the road & you can get on 136 & that'll take you straight to the west newton bridge & the yough.

Not as close as Sandy Lake , but not all that far from McKeesport and definitely worth the trip is Tackle Unlimited Repair on Route 51 in Jefferson Hills . This is on the right side of 51 South just before you drop down the hill to the Elizabeth Bridge . Good supply of various , quality worms and minnows and they are generous , plus it is a very well stocked Bait and Tackle carrying both fresh and saltwater supplies and equipment . Phone Number is 412-384-4500 and hours are convenient . E-Mail : Info@TackleUnlimitedRepair.com . If you've never been there , you should check it out . Hope this helps !
