So, I'm wondering, How many people here in the Pittsburgh and surrounding area would be interested in and informal casting  club or event?

It wouldn't have to be anything special, just some people who can cast to varying degrees, and have an interest in sharring what they know, or in gaining some tips and tricks. A public park would probably fill the bill for a location. There are tons of those, some even with bodies of water.

Anybody up for it?

At this point, I'm just guaging interest, but if there is any, we could hammer out the details of it too.

PeteM  I work in Peters Twp, and belong to a club called USC (upper St clair) flyfishing club.  They usually meet once a month and cover a lot of details about this type of thing, or anything related to flyfishing.  Local group that has probably 90 members and probably 35 active members.  We do tying demos and all sorts of stuff including casting and fishing retreats around the state and other stuff as well.  Membership is only $5 to get in. reply back if you want some more info.

I've heard of them. It does sound like an interesting group, and close by too. I think my friend Terry is a member there.

I'm interested in checking it out.

Thanks GM. I won't be able to make the gathering at Ohiopyle, but I may make it to some of the other events.
