I got brand new fly line (floating) last year. Some Cabelas brand. But my first time using it this season the first 2-3 feet were sinking. Does anyone have any recommendations to fix this? I never had to use anything like fly line floatant before. Thanks

just cut a few feet off, it will help with your casting too

If i remeber correctly its Cortland w/f floating. Think I actually bought it for my brother, other brother had his line for the new reel and we were up in Erie, so i needed something, then my reel broke, so i put this stuff on the new one.

any chance you snipped off the end of the line for any reason? if you did, put a dab of super glue on the end. do this anyway, sounds like water got into the end of the line.

I possibly may have snipped the line to put a new loop on. I'll try that. thanks Pike

+1
and seal the tip.
and once in a while, a little silicone on the tip wouldn't hurt.
