TREE ROD HOLDERS WITH BIG BOARDS

I have a new boat and in the interest of saving space I was thinking of going with a 4x rod tree on each side instead of horizontally using 4 along the gunnel.  I know this is usually used with inline boards but does anyone have any experience with rod trees trolling with big boards from a mast?

    We use triple trees for the big boards...
    Works just fine!
    Top rod to the outside line, middle rod to middle line, bottom rod to inside line... then move them as you get pull-offs.
