PIB Browns

Can anyone tell me about the Brown Trout fishing in the waters of the the main bay, Misery, Marina lake, and the lagoons? I've heard from a few people who float fish the bay that they'll have days where they catch nothing but Brown Trout, and on others they're nowhere to be found. Next time I'm up, I think I may try fishing all of the above mentioned waters with the fly rod, stripping streamers and still fishing nymphs and egg patterns under floats, but I'm not sure how productive it will be. Any information you guys have pertaining to shore fishing Browns (or Steelhead) in the bay would be greatly appreciated!

Just a "guess", Dive,  but suspect a little or a lot of both

Since I haven't been steelie  fishing much in  years, I don't  get pi55ed like I used to when some mOOnpie  felt the need to "out" specific  info via  the i'net  .
But I still shake my head and  think it foolish.... because I've personally witnessed how it can go from no to minimal  pressure to overrun overnight
There's little doubt that's  wholly  due to the posted info

It's not fair or right to  the guys that take the time to "do the work" and try  places where  it might not be "worth it"

Wish my boat was still in, had to have it out by the fourth weekend in October though, smh... Guess I'll just do some exploring, considering in big water they could be there one minute and gone the next.

Mature browns will be heading into tributaries, they are fall spawners.

Hey dive I don't fish the bay. I really see no need to but if you want I'd say fish the main piers coming in or start at cascade creek and walk around from there. probably gotta stay close to the creeks.

they can be anywhere in the bay, I've caught a brown back in the head of the bay drifting emeralds for panfish, and steelies through the ice in misery bay.
