I'll be there to put some serious time in and see if Fall is good as Spring. Always heard the rumors but I've never put enough time in the Fall for Walleye and Musky. Usually too much work and chased Great Lakes Trout when I had the free Fall time. Got the time now ! Tired of combat fishing up North.

I've had some limited success catching walleyes with the waders up until ice up. Been a few evenings that I've done really well on good sized perch though.

Last year around the new year I was fishing for Burot off the South Pier. I had a hog Eye grab and hold onto a Mudpuppy that I was reeling in. There was a group of fellas that was casting for Eyes that night with no success. Talking to one he informed me some nights they  do great. The Emeralds were all around along the wall. He also said weeks before they were clobbering them from shore and he was pointing toward shore where the bait shop-ramp is. My brother my son and I were fishing the end of the South Pier. Oh we did catch three of them uglies.

Sounds like a mix of up and down. Spring was about the same one night good catches of Eyes next night nothing. Just got to be patient and persistent I guess.

I can't wait till I can try out the new waders I bought, three years ago.   Now If I could just find some "Wader Stretcccch" preferably, in an aerosol can.   Umm, king size.

Good times and tight lines this year guys.

My first experience with Jumbo perch was in P.I. through the ice. The first one I caught was a true 14"+ perch. It looked like some kind of ocean fish coming up that hole. I caught 7 perch that day all 12"+.
Reel me back in fellas I am off topic again. Back to topic, I have never waded for fall eyes, nor have I fished for perch in the fall. So many things yet to do. I do get some eyes and crappies in the fall. Mostly on vibes and minnies, in Pymy.
