Cross creek

Anyone been to cross creek lately? Thinking about going out this weekend and wondering how the bass are biting.

Where can I file a complaint? After the nazi nurse left I went over to Cross Creek to sit on the porch and relax. However those darn crappie would not leave me alone, in about two hours I caught over 2 dozen several of the legal size. Best part is I got them on Berkeley minnows that have been in the back of the frig for close to 5 years! If I had gone over there wanting to catch fish I would have been skunked!

crappies and gills are hitting. major groups, watch fish finder, they are packed together. big girls are lagging below and behind, good luck getting to them past the group, but they will eat when you do

Saw one guy catch a few nice fish, we caught a couple small ones by mistake. Saw a few guys targeting bass that were casting blindly, the guy who caught the nice ones knew where to go, motored to that spot and worked it

Apparently there's not a lot of activity over there right. I haven't been over lately but I do know the boat count going pass my house is way down compared to normal.

Hows the cicada hatch out that way? I live in bridgeville and havent seen 1 cicada, but as soon as i get towards washington county they are everywhere. Made a mess of my windshield on a drive to cabelas today hahaha. Was just wondering if they are out near cross creek because i could imagine those things all over the water and the fish not interested in eating my offerings cuz they are full of dam cicada

Other then driving the fishermen crazy I've never seen a fish go after one. They might give you some trouble if they climb on your line or bobber. Years ago at the Young I  saw so many in this cove you could hardly see the water.

When they are in my area, every type of fish gorge on them, from trout to bass to carp.
