Canoe titling question

My cousin has a 15ft canoe that he has owned for over 20+ years. He said I can use it whenever i want for fishing in streams and the river. He does not have the title for it so heres where my question is. Do i need a title to get the canoe registered in PA commonwealth waters? I really would like to borrow his canoe and learn the basics before i go out and buy my own. So if someone can tell me what i need to do or what the fish and boat commission can/would do that would be greatly appreciated.

Hope this link helps with your question reel and I sold a canoe I bought before titles were required, all I had to do was sign the registration card and give it to the new owner.  Registration was required as I had it rigged with a electric motor.

Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you will feed him for a life time. ~Anne Isabella Thackeray Ritchie (1837–1919)~

Short answer is no.. but the best thing to do is get a use permit from the PFBC or a launch permit from the DCNR. It costs ten bucks per year no title required.
