Jeb, I'm from Smithton. If you aren't familiar with it, it is a small town on the Youghiogheny River. There is about 340 residents. We have a bigger drug problem than some big towns. We have a small police force but they are too worried about enforcing their new ordinance that kids are not allowed to ride their skateboards or roller skates on sidewalks or streets. Only allowed to be used on their own property. Then they wonder why kids are painting on buildings and doing other things to get into trouble. Know what you mean about not being like it used to be. Nothing stays the same.

Yep, not the same. Makes me not like a lot of people. It's a shame my kids are growing up different than I had to, just in one darn gerneration !
On another note. Who wants to fish at the PPG aquarium at the zoo ?
My oh my did they have the biggest bluegill I ever saw in there. A solid 13 inches and so high the girth would've been huge. Plus the South American tank would be fun to play around in as well.... LOL
Makes me think about that Bass Pro shop TV commercial with KVD,Bill Dance and Tony Stewart (I think), not a NASCAR guy, sorry boys.

If those things fight like bull-gills you would need Bass fishing gear.  sam

Yes PA lol. The pumpkinseed and perch were both in the bay in Erie and I have pictures of both, is there a way to post pics here? The bluegill was in a private scuba quarry I dive at a lot and caught the beast on a 3 weight fly rod with a San Juan worm. This same quarry is stuffed to the brim with monster gills and it's rare to find adults under 8", we've spotted some 14-16" ones during dives in ~10 FOW that would easily be state records. 24-30" largemouth aren't rare here either, I actually just got back from a day of diving there and got some footage of a pair of LMB around 28" that I'll post a link to after I upload them to youtube later. And before anyone asks no I can't give the location because I'd get kicked out if I let any non divers know where it is.

At the very top of the of the writing area and in fine print you should find "open full view".  Click and you should see at the top right, a "paper clip".  Click and you will be taken to a screen to upload your files. Click the search button and it should take you to your picture files.  Open your folder and double click the pictures you wish to upload.    Viewers will need to double click your pictures to enlarge them on their 'puters'.

Place your cursor where you wish the file to appear.

Let's see them fish........

PS. Your pictures will need to be resized to  a smaller (<680) version before uploading.

PSS. You can give us the 10-20 on the pit, your secret will be safe here!

My buddy used to dive a quarry north of town a lot, before having a kid. He said the fish there are unbelievably large. he said most will come right up to you as well. Sounds pretty cool. My cousin in Florida, gave me a dive lesson in his pool. Fun stuff, the stuff he does is nuts though. Sharks always lurking in his haunts. His buddy claims that he saved my cousin, spearing one about 5 feet from him, without even knowing there was a shark there. Carrying around a "stringer" of bleeding fish in shark infested waters, isn't for me. If they won't get you, the currents will.

Just realized I never posted the pictures, well they're a bit late, but here's the perch for now. Caught towards the western end of the bay in 22 FOW.

Haha, thanks guys. I caught that fish in 2013 if I'm remembering correct and I actually released it, hopefully it's passed its genes on by now because if all perch were that big I'd fish for them a lot more often! I have another picture of the fish right next to my head and its actually taller than my head but it's on the computer along with the 'gill and p-seed pictures so next time I get on that old thing I'll dig up them too.

Alright guys, here's new challenge, first one to catch a 24" yellow perch gets $100 LOL. It'd be well worth it to see one that big! And no, the monster European/Redfin Perch don't count :)

Mine was a bluegill, around 10 inches. Beware! Redear sunfish can get to 6 pounds. I have never caught one though.
