Pymatuning this weekend

Is there any kind of tournament this weekend at Pymy?  And is there any current fishing report.

Thanks.

Musky tournament saturday. I went monday water was ft high and super green. Alot of green stuff floating in bay 41 not sure if from rain or some kind of algea bloom. Only perch catfish and bluegill in 5 hours of fishing.

Was up at the north end today.  Water temp 71  Clarity, maybe a foot.  Like outasync said, super green.  They had some heavy storms go thru last night again.  Like was rolling white caps.  Nothing but cats and perch, but some of those perch reminded me of the sizes we used to get out of there 30 years ago!

Been picking up a few eyes.

Lots of cats and small perch too as others stated. Headed out in the a.m. I'll report back if I do any good

Was up at Pymy Wednesday caught this one, a smaller one and lost a bigger one than the picture. It was actually a slow day.

Hopefully after my surgery recovery is complete the algea will be gone and the fish will be super hungry again :)

Nice fish Marco. Only managed 1 tonight, but it was a fat 25". Didn't see the algae today, but the water was still pretty brown even for pymy.

headin tom w my nephew from boston...getting late in the season but hope to get him at least 1 eye.  had my best year ever on pymy w the eyes.  always caught crappie but could never do well on the eyes.  started staying at ohio park cabins this year and picked the ears of the amish everyday at the fish cleaning station.  they were extremely helpful and really put me on the right track.  they do know how to catch fish!  spent a lot of time there and only saw 1 bad incident which turned my stomach.  the majority were up and up and very polite and open about how they caught fish!

Always nice when people are willing to share info and help fellow anglers. I hear ya on having a good year on the walleye. Never really put a lot of time into trying to target them until last year. It's really paid off this year, and I've boxed alot of fish. Still hoping to learn a few things and get even more consistent at it. Gonna give it a shot this afternoon. Good luck if you get out, and keep those pics coming. :)

was up yesterday...it was flat, hot and only thing biting was cats and small perch.  worst day this year.  talked to a bunch of guys.  very few had any eyes.  the ones that did told me they got them trolling large bright noisy plugs.  even they did not do well.  hope this helps because I did not take my trolling rods yesterday.  they were calling for wind.  I was dead in the water w only my drifting gear.  fyi and good luck!!!

Saturday was the last time I was out. Caught 1 heafty white bass trolling, and nothing else but baby perch. Probably won't make it out again until Friday. Hopefully there is a chop on the water.

was up yesterday...wow..almost did not go out because of the wind.  we got 4 eyes.  should have done better.  did not have right colors and was trolling too slow.  once i got that right we caught fish.  a lot of guys were doing really well yesterday.  bright colors and speed were the trick yesterday!

How fast did you have to go to catch fish Marco? More than 2 to 2.5 mph?

Thanks

yes...2.8 to 3...it was hard really hard for me to do that.  I am used to trolling slooow! talked to a lot of amish and most of the time that is the speed.  some guys were trolling faster and still getting them.  I am no expert so experiment.  this is my first year I have connected on the eyes.  got olot of good advice from a lot of nice guys.  I will pass it on and probably get screamed at but I like to see everyone score once in a while!  I will not fish w anyone anymore that is not willing to help others.  actually lost some good friends over this.  best of luck to you!

Thanks marco, I have 3 lead core rigs. I used to have 5 but found that trolling with more than 3 caused problems so I traded a couple of them and some Offshore Planer Boards for a Drill Press. I'm just getting back into Pymatuning after a 8 year break.

Here are the 4 fish from yesterday, not huge but we worked hard for them and it's better than I've done for years.
PS my wife is putting these pictures on here because I have no idea how this stuff works.

Congrats on the fish Marco and getting the picture posted.
