The Yough Outflow has a handicap access area you could try out.

But make sure you have a handicap permit. Most handicap platforms are open to everyone but if it's full and a handicap person shows up some able body person is suppose to exit.. However it doesn't always work that way.

Twin Lakes, Northmoreland, and Keystone State Park each have at least one.

Isn't the Arts Festival at Twin this weekend?  Might wanna avoid that one till Monday at least.

Moraine has a couple of piers as well - Bear Run and Old 422 launch areas.  Not specifically for handicap fishermen.  Although as of Tuesday, you'd have to wade through some water to get to the pier at the Old 422 launch.  Also a few areas around the lake where you can pretty much pull right up to where you'd like to fish.

The South Side Pittsburgh boat launch ramp, on 18th street, has a fishing pier. It is not designated specifically for handicap use, but it looks like it is very accessible.

South Side Riverfront Park in these high water conditions can get a little nasty.  The water is very muddy and a lot of debris floating around.  A lot of rats in the area as well, after high waters.  Always a ton of geese and duck droppings right by the pier too.  Not to mention the pier being directly upstream of the boat launch, so with high current, expect to reel in and recast any time a boat launches.

There is also a pier in the South Side, behind the UPMC (Steelers/Pitt) practice fields.

Although same river, muddy with debris.  If you happen to be south of town, Elizabeth, PA has a fishing pier similar to the one behind the UPMC.

North Park has a lot of easy shore access too.  So does Cannonsburg Lake.

i am in the south hills. i fished canonsburg last week. muddy water with lots of debris. but that is probably the norm with all the rain. as far as southside greasy and goose crap doesn't sound too apealing :) one would think the fish comish would have some sort of map showing these area's.

For river fishing - check out the Monongahela Aquatorium - you can drive right up to the railing at the water's edge.

Caution: use the North end entrance road, as the Southern end road was pretty washed out a week or so ago. I bottomed out my pickup truck driving over a culvert.

That reminds me, Duck Hollow (Turd Hollow) under the Homestead Hi-Level / Grays Bridge - Squirrel Hill side.  There is car pull up to a pier, you can tailgate off of it.

I fished it a lot about 10 years ago, when I lived a mile or so away.  I'd wade the creek mouth below, and did pretty good with white bass and occasional wiper making their way through.  As well as some small mouth.  That said, there is a CSO directly above the creek mouth.  Any sort of rain would release it.  When you catch a tampon or toilet paper, a fishing spot seems to lose it's appeal...  If you wait 2-3 days after a rain, the river usually washes the crap away.  The carp will stack up at the ends of the CSO and eat human crap.  If I ever hooked into a river carp, I would cut the line.

Try going to Duck Hollow across the Homestead Hi-level bridge. You can drive right down to the wall and fish.

we went to duck hollow last saturday and yesterday. seems to be a very popular place.

easy access close to town, just what i was looking for. i didnt realize how high the wall was. by buddy caught a big sheep head and thought he was going to cut his fingers off on the braid, hand lining the thing up the wall :)

thanks for the help.
