I blew it

Heard gobbling the first week of the season but the last 2 weeks they have shut up.  Are they down gobbling or will they start again?  Time is running out.   Everyone I talk to say the same thing. They went quiet.  Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

The only thing better than 1 day of fishing is 2 days of fishing.

It all depends on the bird and the presence or absence of hens. I heard one behind my house at 3 in the afternoon two days ago and I worked a loud one for my grandson from 11 to noon Sat. Several of my friends killed birds this year that were silent from the roost to the gun while both of mine the second week gobbled until the shot. I watched a lone jake yesterday that totally ignored my calling. If you know they are in the area keep after them.

Had a gobbler answer my call this morning.  Set up and waited for him to come in.  After 20 minutes I decided to make another call.  As soon as I pulled the call up there he was 20 yards away looking at me.  All I could see was his head and neck.  You know the rest of the story.  He was gone without a shot.  Too impatient I guess.  3 days left.
