Want to Lake Erie- How???

I am wanting to bring my boat and fish Lake Erie. I would be going to Erie to launch. Where on the lake is the best to look for Walleye and perch and what time of year is best. I have been boating for more than 30 years and have the proper gear and trolling gear, kicker motor,Lowrance, Tracker Targa V-18 with 115 Merc and safety gear. I just need steered in the right area and time frame. Just don't want to end up in Canada:) Thanks for any help.

    There are fish around May-October.  Every year is a little different though.  If you want a sure thing shoot for 4th of july week and go to the trench.
     
    What kind of program do you plan on running?  Big boards or little boards? Dipsys? jets? Plugs?
