yellow creek

I talked to Jim Riddle of Riddles bait shop at Yellow Creek this morn.,he said that the fishing has been very good at the lake & he is getting a fresh supply of shiners to-day. His # is 724-479-8169. Also I heard that someone caught a monster Musky at Lake Arthur this week. Closer to home,B&M bait shop in Everson has shiners for you guys that are fishing Greenlick, his # is 724-887-5638.   sam

Dean's Baits in Indiana is a good shop to get bait in that area as well. He is also generous with them too. If you order 2 dozen fatheads you get 4 dozen. He has shiners also.

Luke is a machine, some incredible numbers, some incredible fish. I'm sure his partner is a hell of a fisherman as well.

Couple of online newspaper fishing reports I've read yesterday and today say Pymy.

I saw some pics on the Fish West PA Facebook page that got up there pretty quick, and got removed almost as quickly.  Couple of shots that provided a lot of background.  I'm no expert on the Allegheny, but when I first saw the pics without reading anything about it, that was my first guess.

At any rate, incredible fish!  If I had a goal of catching a state record fish like that and came that close, I don't suppose I'd want anybody to know where it was either.

Yup, it would be like the bounty scene from Jaws.

Judging by the background it doesn't look like Arthur or Pym to me. My guess is the river.

Have to agree with this..."Judging by the background it doesn't look like Arthur or Pym to me. My guess is the river."  Didn't think it was very safe to try and ice fish on the river?

    Maybe Kinzua or Tionesta lake?

Anyone that has ever caught a few big muskies will tell you that fish isn't any where near as big as they are claiming either.  It's a nice fish and any musky fisherman would  be happy to catch it any day but there is no reason to stretch it.  Find pictures of some legit 40lbers on the internet and compare how their hand looks compared to the fins.  Here is a legit 50" 40lber, tell me the one in this article is bigger, lol.

Fishermen never lie. Ov course it's not a 40# 50" but still a great fish.

    Where are they located?
