pt, i wouldn't even attempt casting towards shore in daylight, let alone night.  i've spots at pymy where i can easily wade two hundred yards off shore under normal pool conditions.  it is really easy wading.  the only dangers are made from some cowboy trying to run his boat through a foot or two of water and having his lower unit cut a neck-jarring grove in one of the bars.  also, my wading is strictly for smallies and walleyes with the occasional crappie and bluegill trip thrown in.

Wire........... thanks for the heads up on the Raps.  and I hear you on the hooks.  I really enjoy using 1/16 and 1/32 oz. jigs and tubes for crappie and I gotta say I'm picky when it comes to hook size.  I just ordered a bunch of lead head jigs from Fish/USA and they have the exact hook I look for when purchasing jigs.  Now, I gotta get back to their store and check out those Raps you just recommended.(lol)

I'd say you got a a great deal on the trolling motor but I have to know; how ya gonna sit still till the ice melts and you can use it, I'd be going crazy.  Watching ice melt is worse then watching paint dry!

RETIRED?..........I can under stand that because....... BeenThereDOINGThat! (lol). I sure hope the current gasoline prices stick around. Sure will make it nice to travel to some of my old fishing water like Kahle Lake, Piney Resevoir and, the Allegheny to name a few. Would love to have another jet drive to run the river again but, they do drink a lot of gas compared to a prop.

Get that new trolling motor mounted yet? I heard about some guy sitting in a boat parked in his driveway casting a fishing pole. Just wondering. (lol)
