There is a picture of the lowest piece of TRASH on the earth. To murder that animal just to say hes a great hunter/man. Makes me want to throw up ! I would get that pic to a warden or the media somehow, that trash needs put in. Prison !

Would definately had to have been poached. The tag is supposed to stay with the head.

How do we know deer was shot in the dark?
How do we know the guy carrying the head is the shooter and he shot it at night?
How do we know the head does not have a tag in the other ear?
How do we know this deer was not shot legally and recovered at a later time?

If I found a dead buck, I'd take the head. I carve antler and/or do scrimshaw. That buck is big enough that it would be worth it to boil the head. Maybe he just wanted a new set of rattling antlers and only had a knife with him. It would be far more incriminating if he had a rifle with him.

Dakota, many would do the same, however you would be breaking the law and would get busted if caught. A More likely possibility would be the buck was legally shot but lost and not found until after the meat had spoiled. Taking the head (if untagged) is still illegal but more understandable.

It's getting so a fellow has to check all around before even taking a whiz in the woods. A friend of mine has a camera watching a gated road and has video of a young gal getting out of her car and relieving herself.
