I was too early this year

I think a lot of out of towners planned their trips too early this year.  I couldn't do anything about my plan as it was etched in stone with scheduled vacations and relatives on board for that one week only.  I did see some new water by getting to the church hole and even a trip to the UFZ.  I had some decent lunches at the Altmar hotel throwing back a few with the locals.  I had quite a few hookups but only four landed.  Two acquisitions made the trip better:  the Nautilus NV 10/11 reel with G8 spool is everything and then some.  The take up is fantastic.  Second, the Thule ski carrier was a great buy.  Not having to break down the rods for every little jaunt made life easier.  The downer was losing a pair of Abel nippers in the parking lot in altmar downstream of the bridge.  I hope you enjoy them.

Thanks!, but they really didn't work any better than the  2 buck Eagle Claws I bought in Wal-Mart.  I traded 'em for a  six of Genny.

Perhaps next year you should plan your trip for next year to be  the year after next.
Or better yet the year after that.

Or you could option the entire river from August 1 until December 1, wait, it would be Warren Buffet that could afford that.  Better hope he doesn't take up snooty tackle snagging!

Throwing back a few with the locals with out of state plates could get you into the holding cell on Route 2a, that might be a little more exclusive and expensive than a ticket for fishing DSR without buying a license.

I think the only story that we want to hear from you is one when DEC nails you for snagging, takes all your gear and you decide to never come back to NY.

    Creamy.
Jack, I think he's got real talent and could be all the above, depending on species.
