Yes it's a tough bite. All the fair weather snaggers haven't hidden inside yet.

Hopefully the temps are in the teens or twenties when we are in town for Thanksgiving. The more miserable the weather the more memorable the fishing.

I live with fear every day, and sometimes she lets me go fishing.

I like less crowds and the snowy landscapes , but I prefer harder fighting fish and unfrozen feet and fingers too. I guess I'm a lightweight.

Just thought I'd point out that water literally can not be less than 32 degrees plus or minus a fraction of a degree without being uninhabitable. The physics of this are that any energy removed from 32 degree water by its surroundings can serve only to convert it into ice instead of lowering its temp.

HERE COME DA RAIN...........

I don't know if I would worry about water temp. just yet. But if your fishing Shenango or Pymie right now put on your slicker cause HERE COME DA RAIN!!!!!!!!

Did I mention that it ain't gonna be pretty.......

Gymi, what I said applies only to the temperature of the water itself. When you fish in 20 degree weather, the ice water is still 32 degrees exactly.
