I was there.

Saw a few fish at ellis cove Friday night. Went below 2a bridge to start  this morning. We didn't see squat. Tons of people a few scared fish. My buddy netted a fair hooked steel for a guy. We left and went to the Bovines. Heard a dad say "Here it comes jump on it". Watched the kid actually try to. Interesting lol. There were some fish in there but not many. Made it up to the main river. People everywhere. Hooked up with 2 kings but couldn't quite land. Buddy caught a pretty coho. Saw a couple of steel get jerked out as well. Walked back to the truck around 1 and headed for home in the pouring rain. Never did find the big run. Not a bad day though. Still glad I went, Clint I hope you faired better than me and thanks for the intell. PS I did land a monster 9 inch chub. A few joke spawned from it.

Best of luck guys

At least you had some activity. Uglyfish and I had a day when the chubs were it, period.

yeah, I'm not complaining. probably my only trip, but both hookups were good battles that lasted a few minutes each. fished with a nice group of people. had some good laughs. and made it home safe. it was a good day.

Calling in sick Thursday to give it a go. Wife's doing great and I got the okay to go have some fun. I guess the waiting on her hand and foot and cleaning paid off. Just be good to head out and relax fishing.

Starting to count myself as pretty lucky to have bumped into a nice push Thursday PM  and catch up with them Friday AM.
Had hoped it was like that all over but reports indicate otherwise -although it still seems to have picked up from the near zero reports of the bulk of the seaon

I went down to the Genesee on Saturday, it had gone from 800 to 1600cfs, and there were almost no fish around.  Went back Sunday PM with my daughter, it was down to 1400, and there were fish everywhere.  Sometimes it changes fast!   Still no chrome out here, but a lot of the kings I saw yesterday looked like the 2nd week in September.

Sounds like your favorite stretch may be on fire and mid is loaded. I think you might not get too relaxed , but you will go home smiling. Wish I could get away, but can't even think about it. Have a blast.  Hope you get away end of next week.
