steelhead in walnut creek ?

does anyone know if the steelhead are in walnut creek yet or any of the other tribs ?

    No. They are not here yet. They will not be here for a while.
    Walnut Creek current flow is 5 cubic feet per second. Think: "pond on a windy day." The water temp is 75degrees, and it is clear as glass.
    Every year a few will nose about at the mouth this time of year and then disappear for another month or so. Erie Times had an article about them coming in to shore, but do not get excited yet. I have been watching the cycle for decades. If you live down the street and want to toss spoons at night have at it. (I live down the street and have been staying home). If you live out of town, save your gas money until the run starts.

    I appreciate the info i am new to steelhead fishing and wasnt exactly
    sure when they start coming in, I also live 3 hours away and dont wanna
    make a wasted trip due to the gas prices.

    There was one.  He came in, saw his shadow, and left.  That means 4 more weeks of no steelhead.
