Motor Stolen

I had my Johnson 9.9 motor stolen off my boat right out of my yard this past week. I live in the west end of Johnstown. It's a '92 model, with a broken kill switch and electric start. Just thought I'd put this out there if by some stroke of luck anyone comes across anything or hears anything and I mean anything! I'm sure it's long gone but I guess it's worth writing about.

Thanks
Tim

That sucks! Will certainly keep an eye out if I see any for sale.

check your local scrap yard. Crackheads probably stole it for scrap.

Only the lowest life form would steal fishing or boating equipment. I've had my share stolen in the past.
I'm looking for parts for my 91 Evinrude 15hp so I'll be scouring the ads. Post as many defining characteristics of you motor as you can think of. If I run across anything suspicious I'll PM you. good luck

I have no doubt it was a heroin junkie dirtbag. The only other detail I can add is that the kill switch does not work its not even wired. I checked Craigslist and pennswoods and even called Richland marine to have them look out for it. Thanks for keeping an eye out.

You don't by chance have the S/N written down somewhere do you ? Sometimes guys come to the bait shop wanting to trade for newer motors.

No I don't. I wish I had but it's one of those things you think you'll never need I guess. I will be looking for a replacement though so keep that in mind should you come across one.
