8/1 drove around

There still is the tree in o e of the prime spots in the LFZ.   I think I will send an e mail or 2 seeing if they can get that out of there.
They had a net across the river above the wire. You cannot see it in the pic.

The falls
I enjoy reading the BSA carved in the stone in 1920 every time I go up.   Close to 100 years ago they carved their names on top of the falls.   Seems like my Names sake was here too.

Just word of note to the 1/0 guys.. That section is CLOSED until 9/15 . if I'm correct  !!
 Last look I got there was Feb 2014.. Cold and blustery.. Rob. S got his first taste of the river.. Kina easy going intro..
Personally I like the north much better then the prime spot (s).. The drifts are better and there are multiple seams to work between inside with an indi , drift the center or swing the run.. ..
To me the south is mostly indi water..
Again cool deal with the pic's.. keep up the exercise !!

They used to have an electric net that routed most of the fish to the hatchery rather than the UFZ.
With this years water they may have been trying to get as many myth eggs as possible in an attempt to increase future numbers.
 
That rootwad and parallel trees are a beotch no doubt about it.
Drops the successful landing percent waaaaay down cause I'm not willing to stumble around trying to get the right angle to play them once I've finally stumbled my way in there.
That slick right in the middle about 20 feet downriver is-was one of the sweetest swing spots on the river.
Young legs are a wonderful thing.
Use them while you have them.
That is a tough spot from the north side (with any kind of flow) since you have the bank-trees right at your back.
Have to remember to sidearm rolll cast EVERY freaking time or you spend the day in the branches.
Also ussually someone steps in below you ending any chance of swinging from that side.
 
The wall except for one spot is totally bobber water in my book.
I would rather stay down at the oldman run below.

No fish seen in the zone water was at 750 by the loos of it for weekend kayaks.  Next time I will look at the tails of the fish in the ladder, but thinking back with the spots they were probably browns.
