3 rivers

Been seeing boats out on the Mon. How is everyone doing on the rivers? I'll be able to get out on Friday for the first time.

Fished the Mon in Elizabeth April 12th.  My dad only caught one drum.  Water temp was 50.  I see the water temp is now 58-60, sure they're biting now.

Few smallies here and there in the Mon...river has been stupid low the past few weeks, could really use some more rain. Oddly enough went to HPD a couple weekends ago and it was flooded out, should have left when I got there instead of risking drowning myself wading through the tunnel and climbin around the cliff. I guess it's not odd that the Allegheny is flooded and Mon is low seeing how they run two completely different directions, but you'd figure they'd eventually even out. Looks like Mon is at 10ft and Allegheny 12 ft.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.

Fished the Allegheny south of Ford City on Saturday and not a bite, the waters in the upper 40s low 50s and it was about 1.5-2' higher than average.  Not even a tug or a dink walleye...  Crooked Creek was at 380cfs discharge and Tionesta was up near 1k I think.  They also dropped the discharge at Kinzua a day or 2 ago, so the Allegheny should be coming down close to normal and the bite may start to pick up unless we get a wash out.

Todays 7am and the next 3 days projected discharges at AoCE lakes. http://www.lrp.usace.army.mil/Missions/WaterManagement/ReservoirForecast.aspx

One small mouth in 30 min. of fishing at the mouth of Deer Creek this morning.  Thermometer said 52* up the creek a few feet.  Felt much colder out on the weeds.
