Epic Run of 2014

Ok heres a random thought. Seeing how the mouths of the creeks have been jammed up with ice for so long, and no fresh runs of fish have been made, is it possible it could make for an Epic Run in the fall of 2014? and seeing how those fish have had another season to grow in the lake maybe there will be some real lunkers in the mix as well. Im just sayin Im planning my vacation time for next October! FISH ON!!!

in my un-educated and purely speculative opinion, I think there have been some fresh fish trickling in, but not many due to the cold stream temps. I think with a little rain and some warm temps, there will be fresh fish making a run late March and April.

2017 will be EPIK... All this ice is causing really weak tides which means all the gravel will stay in place... And in 3 yes when those fish get big. GAME ON!

In my opinion it probably won't affect the fall run of 2014 much if at all.  These fish aren't making two runs a year.  Most fresh fish running in March/April are probably spring run strays from Ohio, they aren't going to run in the fall again.

It might make the spring run better next year in 2015, if any significant numbers of fish couldn't get into the streams this year and spawned at the edges of the lake.   Or as flat lander said this years spring run might just come later.

KHJ are you talking about natural reproduction? and when do the bass, cats and walleye start to run? could we have multiple species on the creeks at the same time?

Uh nice try Chrome-sounds like your trying to make yourself feel better about missing this springs run.
Also everything is random IMO on runs not like all the fish have a booked date to take a vacation up the creeks.
Many things influence the runs its not all BLACK and WHITE in nature.

Is this fresh enough for you
3/18/14

Also wrapped this one up(calm down the hook is in the mouth)

Ignore him, all he does on here is degrade everyone but puts up his pics of his adventures all over the world and thinks he is so great!
