Oct. 26th Report

Fished from first light until @ 3pm. River looks like more than the 750 reported--evidently quite a bit of runoff is being added. River was pretty discolored for the Salmon and was loaded with leaves. If you weren't drifting at the same speed/direction as the current, you were lining leaves. I'd give them about one more week and they should be about gone. Didn't catch a thing--closest I came was to prick a steelie that bolted upstream as I set the hook. Not many fisherman either. The ones that were there seemed to be targeting the salmon--many of them on their spawning beds. Its my guess there was so much debris going down the river, the fish could hardly see your offering.
