Mainly trout, although I know a few spots for bass and other species. This isnt going to a be something that I do for my primary source of income. I hope to supplement the web stuff with this.

oh.  I think they are looking for a partner to guide for quillback fish or the redhorse.  Perhaps even fallfish.  Trout are not on their list.  Good luck!

Why dont' you ask a few insurance agents?  I'm sure not all companies carry a product for guides and rates will vary with those that do.

I get mine through charter lakes insurance, they're basically the only ones that will touch anything that has to do with fishing for a living and floating on the water.  They'll probably give you the best rate for just liability.  With a driftboat mine is around 450 a year, so just walking shouldn't hurt you that bad.

No I havent come up with a price figure yet, its not going to be anywhere close to what other people are charging in this area for guide service. Like I said its going to be a way to make a couple bucks, pay for the insurance policy and thats it. At least for now, I dont anticipate that it will turn into a full blown guiding service where Im booked so much that I cant do web work but who knows, maybe the rolls of what I do for a career could switch. I cant honestly say I would rather be at a computer all day then fishing. One thing I have decided is that an adult can bring one child under the age of 16 for free anytime they come.

I need to get the cpr and first aid certification this winter. I hope to have this all lined up for next spring. Many many irons in the fire right now. Theres even been some discussion about me working for an area shop...NOT DONNY B!
