The Channel

Hey guys, I live just north of Pittsburgh, and the wife and I have been making day trips to fish up in Erie recently.
 
This being said, after the recent onslaught of storms here in Western Pa, can anyone tell me how Erie is holding up (especially the channel)? 
 
I'm sure fishing probably sucks all the way around right now, but if you have any news, please share.  We are looking at heading up this Sunday, and are hoping for the best.

Oh yeah, and is it possible to fish from shore in Misery Bay?
