Actually real nice.  Went late last summer...our pics are on the their site.  It was him and his wife and 4 of us.  They were super cool and let you be as hands on as you wanted to be.  I have been out with some charters who slap your wrist when you go to grab a rod.  This guy is very lax and let you do what you want.  I would go out with them again.

How have you been?  I may very well be interested.  My buddy Barry who was out with us too, will be turning 30 on the 8th of August.  I have been thinking about what I could do for him since he hooked me up with 2 Pens tickets for my 30th this year!  Will let you know when I can commit.  Take care.

Its time to limit size and number of crappies in Pa because of fish hogs. I have seen guys at wilhelm and Pymy take buckets and be gone for a while and come back and get another bucket of crappie some are only6-7 inches (measured) especially wilhelm where it is really starting to show depletion.

NY lost there good crappies fishing for a few years on chautauqua becaause of liberal limits like Pa
NY Finally wised up and now 5 years later crappies are doing much better because of limit and size  under 9 inches and 30 imit.
Look at wilmelm  there are some left but haydays are gone.  Our panfish limits are out of touch in todays world.
Crappies are a good fish for youth to start with.  Let us be sportsmen and protect them for our youth to enjoy.
I have set my own limit of 20 at least 10 inches (measured not guesed) along with my buddies ,
Just how much meat is on a crappie less than 8-9 inches that you would kill them to eat?

I agree fish guts. It's about "living to fish not fishing to live" (you can quote me on that).

Agreed fishguts, but your comments make no sense on this thread at all.

I also agree with you fish guts. Keep in mind that the crappie population is cyclic and consider that there is never one answer to a situation. Everything is multifactorial. Technically you should have started a new thread. Not attempting to "gang up" on you, just FYI. It's good to read that you have set your own personal limits. Good sportsman!

If guys are taking a limit, and coming back for another, how would lowering the limit change that? Poachers is poachers.

This is why i love the crappie fishing in NY. First they have a size limit of 9 inches and then your allowed 25 per day. If caught coming back for more which happens because our DEC officers take names of individuals they check your fined a large amount. I have seen a buddy of mine get fined for catching a smallmouth bass that was measured 1/4 inch short according to the way he measured it. The fine was 1K.
